Assertion : Heat energy is transferred from one body to another due to a temperature difference between them.
Reason : Heating a substance causes a rise in temperature.

A If both assertion and reason are true and reason is the correct explanation of assertion
B If both assertion and reason are true but reason is not the correct explanation of assertion
C If assertion is true but reason is false
D If assertion is false but reason is true.

A body is said to be in motion when its position changes continuously with respect to a stationary object taken as reference point. A body has a uniform motion if it travels equal distance in equal intervals of time, no matter how small these time intervals may be. The distance-time graph for uniform motion is a straight line. A body has a non-uniform motion if it travels unequal distance in equal intervals of time. The distance-time graph for a body having non-uniform motion is a curved line.
The distance-time graph for a uniform motion is

A
B
C
D

IT IS A BUG!

Fuse is a simple device for protecting electric circuits from overloads and short-circuits. A fuse consists of one or several fuse links, an insulating body and terminals for connecting the fuse to an electric circuit. Some fuses are filled with quartz sand to provide better cooling of the fuse link. Fuses are connected in series in an electric circuit and break the circuit when the fuse links melt.
Among these the main characteristics of fuse link is

A Low melting point
B High conductivity
C None of these
D Both A and B

If fuse has high conductivity how des it destroy a circuit

In the following questions, a statement of assertion is followed by a statement of reason. Mark the correct choice as:
Assertion : Repulsion, not attraction is the surest test of magnetism.
Reason : Like poles of magnets repel each other.

A If both assertion and reason are true and reason is the correct explanation of assertion.
B If both assertion and reason are true but reason is not the correct explanation of assertion.
C If assertion is true but reason is false.
D If assertion is false but reason is true.

The correct answer (B) ,I chose A, says Assertion is correct . Without another magnet , how it’s possible to prove that the particular piece of iron is a magnet???

A magnetic field is described by drawing the magnetic field lines. The magnetic field lines always begin from the north pole of magnet and end on the south pole of the magnet. They do not intersect one another. They come closer to one another near the poles but they are widely separated at other places.
The direction of magnetic field lines is

A north to south
B south to north
C both (A) and (B)
D neither (A) nor (B)
